Singapore's outdoor fashion runway on Saturday returned to its iconic commercial street Orchard Road with over 130 models strutting down the 550-meter-long street.
This open-air fashion show is part of the "Fashion Steps Out 2016", an annual fun-filled six-week extravaganza that shows off the latest fashion trends from around the globe, in the heart of Orchard Road.
Since its debut in 2010, this annual highlight has attracted tourists and fashion lovers' attention.
"This fashion festival captures the essence of Orchard Road, where street style meets high-end luxury," said Mark Shaw, chairman of Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA).
The famous shopping belt is home to a stellar presentation of marquee local and international brands, and Asian flagship store, cementing it as the fashion centre of Asia and drawing millions of local and international shoppers annually.
"This is testament to the continuing allure of Orchard Road, and an affirmation of our commitment to delivering a refreshing shopping experience for every visitor on this Great Street," Shaw said.
The fashion show raised its curtain with the launch of the latest Samsung Galaxy S7 products. After that, over 130 models donning the latest designs from eight brands walked the longest runway.
Taiwan singer Jay Chou's own brand PHANTACi and Singapore's famous singer JJ Lin also joined the show, attracting thousands of visitors.
This year's Fashion Steps Out will last until May 8.
