A delegation of Future Bloc MPs headed by Atef Majdalani offered their condolences Sunday to family of martyr Captain Pierre Bashaalany in Mreijat then headed to Arsal to check on the situation in said town, NNA correspondent reported. The delegation included MPs Bassem Shab, Jamal Jarrah, Amine Wehbe and Aasem Aaraji. "Arsal persists under difficult natural and economic conditions, and we are here to say to the town's people that this rupture in relations with the state cannot persist," Majdalani said following the visit. "We are in the process of finding a solution to this problem. The town's people declare they are under the law and they are one with the army and no one can separate Arsal from the army." Majdalani revealed that an initiative was underway, but would only be discussed publically once a meeting was held with LAF commander, General Jean Qahwaji.
