
Following Saturday's crash of an Airbus A321 in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people onboard, here is a list of major accidents involving Airbus jets over the past decade.
- May 3, 2006: 113 people are killed after an A320 operated by Armenian carrier Armavia crashes as it prepares to land in the southern Russian city of Sochi.
- July 9, 2006: An A310 crashes and catches fire on landing at Irkutsk, Siberia, killing 124 people.
- July 17, 2007: 199 people die when an A320 of Brazilian carrier TAM leaves the runway and crashes into a concrete building at Sao Paulo's Congonhas airport, bursting into flames.
- June 1, 2009: An Air France A330 flying from Rio de Janeiro to Paris crashes into the sea, leaving 228 people dead.
- June 30, 2009: An A310 operated by Yemeni carrier Yemenia crashes off the Comoros islands, killing 152. One young girl survives.
- May 12, 2010: 103 people are killed when an A330 of Libyan company Al Afriqiyah crashes on a landing attempt at Tripoli airport. One child survives.
- July 28, 2010: An A321 of Pakistani carrier Airblue crashes into the mountains outside Islamabad with 152 people aboard.
- December 28, 2014: A Singapore-bound A320 in the colours of Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia and with 162 people aboard crashes in Indonesia. There are no survivors.
- March 24, 2015: An A320 of German airline Germanwings crashes in the French Alps, killing all 150 aboard. Investigators suspect the German pilot, psychologically disturbed, deliberately crashed the aircraft.
