The Syrian government will provide all necessary help to the UN-Arab Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi to prove his mission to end the crisis in Syria successful, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday. "We will provide Brahimi with all required for the success of his mission," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Jihad Makdisi said in a press statement. Makdisi said that Foreign Minister Walid Al-Muallam will travel to New York to participate in the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly. He added that Syria's participation in UNGA meetings is very important than any time before to positively engage with everyone and clarify the reality of the Syrian crisis. "We want change in Syria, but the change that Syrian people want not that sought by foreign states," he underscored. He, furthermore, wished success for the regime-tolerated opposition parties conference which will be held in Damascus Sunday. "We wish them success and the unity of the Syrian opposition is good for Syrian interest," he, stressing that "dialogue between all sides in Syria is the only solution to the current crisis."
