
Malaysia sent a letter to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday calling on all member countries, to hold a special conference to discuss means to reach a peaceful solution to the current Egyptian crisis. The Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak said in press remarks today that "Malaysia is working towards to achieve peace in Egypt, expecting a response from the Arab nations' leaders regarding this matter, during the next two days". The Malaysian parliament's session held yesterday, expressed its regret over attacking civilians in Egypt, resulted in the death of hundreds, Abdul Razak added. The current circumstances in Egypt would lead to a civil war, if immediate peaceful measures are not taken, Malaysian Prime Minister said. The Parliament of Malaysia requested all parties involved in the Egyptian crisis to resume negotiations in order to achieve a national peace, he added. Abdul Razak stressed on the importance of self-control, and sought of means that respect human rights, and avoiding the use of violence.
