Mali Islamist rebels Ansar Dine urge dialogue

Ansar Dine, an Islamist group occupying northern Mali, on Tuesday urged Bamako and the other armed movements to engage in a political dialogue, following talks with the chief regional mediator, Burkina Faso President Blaise Compaore. The Ansar Dine delegation pledged also to "observe a total halt to hostilities" and urged "all the armed movements" to imitate it with the aim of establishing "an inclusive political dialogue."
