A recently fired employee of a Seattle Jewish center was arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up the building, police said. Police arrested the 28-year-old man after he allegedly threatened to mix toxic chemicals to cause an explosion Monday, the Seattle Times reported. The former maintenance worker at the Hillel Jewish Campus Center at the University of Washington allegedly mixed ammonia and bleach together in a supply closet and inhaled the fumes. He had to be taken out of the building by police and hosed down, KIRO-TV, Seattle reported. He was then taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was undergoing a mental health evaluation. Police blocked off the nearby roads for two hours while they swept the building for bombs and hazmat teams cleared the toxic mixture of chemicals, KOMO-TV, Seattle, reported.
