Martyred illegal residents' sons allowed to join army

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah has issued a decree allowing the sons of all illegal residents who worked in the Kuwaiti armed forces and died in the line of duty to join the Kuwaiti army. The edict was made at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the supreme commander of the armed forces, the Ministry of Defense said in a release on Wednesday. The Kuwaiti army has already begun to receive recruitment applications from the martyred illegal residents' sons wishing to join the army, it added. The move is a sign of appreciation and gratitude to all those who had sacrificed themselves for the sake of Kuwait
