
Mass protests were staged in Suez, Beheira, Sharqia, and Ismailia governorates on Sunday in marches, calling for Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi to step down. In Suez, a number of protesters marched streets and squares in the governorate. In Damanhur, Beheira governorate, scores of lawyers staged a march from the lawyers' syndicate headquarters, touring the city's streets. The protest ended at the governors' office. In Zagazig, Sharqia, as many as four marches were staged in the city, chanting anti-regime slogans. In Ismailia, several marches toured the streets of the governorate, raising banners calling for holding early presidential election.
