Mauritania and Algeria Signed today five agreements relating bilateral relations between the two countries.The agreements were signed after conclusion of the 17th session of the joint higher committee which was co-chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries, Dr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf and Abdelmalek Sellal respectively.The agreements dealt with maritime fishing and fisheries, water resources, water resources, supplementary protocol pertaining to animal health as well as ,executive programmes in sport and youth and illiteracy eradication fields.With regard to trade exchanges the two sides agreed to establish a joint working team to prepare a new legal framework governing trade exchanges between the two countries which totaled in 2012 over USD 61 million. They also agreed to call the joint business council to convene in Algeria next November.21
