Spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood Gihad Haddad on Thursdaydenied reports that Egypt is on the verge of collapse.In an interview with CNN, he said that regional tension and the shift of the balanceof powers in the region affect the transitional process in Egypt.Answering a question on whether Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has transgressedthe judicial authority, he said that the president only used his legal and constitutionalpowers when he appointed a new prosecutor general.He explained the relieving the former chief prosecutor (in reference to CounsellorAbdel Maguid Mahmoud) was a revolutionary demand.
