Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev believes that the twelve months, which have passed since the formation of his cabinet of ministers, “were not quite simple.” “The first sensation that I have is that working in the Prime Minister’s capacity is no way easier than working as President,” Medvedev say in an interview published by the Komsomolskaya Pravda popular daily. According to him, this is his first emotional observation. “The cabinet of ministers is a machine that’s in operation 24 hours a day,” he says. “There’s a huge volume of various regulatory documents, and then the cabinet governs the national economy and tackles the country’s routine everyday problems.” Medvedev adds to this that Russia is not an exception because governments in absolutely all countries work in that manner. “As for the twelve months /since the formation of the cabinet May 21, 2012 - Itar-Tass/ they were by no means simple,” he says, adding that the overall economic situation compelled him to take some decisions “that I’d rather refrain from taking” in other situations.
