The visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Egypt reflects the depth of Egyptian-German ties, said member of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives Anissa Hassouna.
In a press release Thursday, Hassouna, who is also secretary-general of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, expected the visit to contribute to promoting cooperation between Egypt and Germany in the various political, economic and investment spheres.
Merkel's visit to Egypt is very crucial and will open new vistas of cooperation with the European Union, she added.
The bilateral summit between Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Merkel will develop a joint vision between the two countries toward the regional and international causes, she added.
