Mexico's President-elect Enrique Pena Nieto unveiled his cabinet Friday, giving key portfolios of security and the economy to close allies. Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, head of Pena Nieto's transition team, will head the all-important Interior Ministry. Vuis Videgaray was named finance minister. Former congressman Ildefonso Guajardo will become economy minister and Pedro Joaquin Coldwell will head the Energy Ministry, another key job. Most of the appointees are advisors from the transition team set up to achieve an orderly transfer of power from outgoing President Felipe Calderon. Seeking to build consensus across party lines, Pena Nieto also gave jobs to outgoing Finance Minister Jose Antonio Meade, who will become chancellor. Rosario Robles from the left was named social development minister, and Manuel Mondragon, the left-leaning chief of Mexico City police, will become deputy security minister. Pena Nieto will be inaugurated on Saturday morning and will then address the nation.
