Mikati, Belgian envoy review Syrian crisis repercussions

Lebanese outgoing Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met here today with the Belgian special envoy for Syrian affairs, Marc Otte. Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments of the situation in Syria and its repercussions on the Lebanese political scene, particularly the issue of displaced Syrians in Lebanon. Otte said in a statement that his visit aims at determining how to alleviate effects of the crisis in Syria in coordination with neighboring countries, including Lebanon and reaching possible long term solutions.
