Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said that Turkey had been Croatia's friend when the country went through hard times. Turkey has been a friend of Croatia at the hardest times of the country, said Milanovic during a meeting with Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek in Zagreb on Tuesday. Milanovic said that Croatia would support Turkey's EU bid after the country became EU's newest member on July 1. Meanwhile, Cicek said that Turkey followed the developments in Croatia as this country was of great importance for the region's stability and development. Cicek also visited Zagreb City Museum, where he was briefed about the history of Zagreb, as well as Zagreb office of Turkish Airlines (THY).
