
At least 13 bus passengers were killed in Pakistan's Balochistan province in a pre-dawn attack Tuesday by dozens of armed militants, police said. Police official Zubair Ahmed told CNN the militants forced two passenger buses to stop and took the victims to nearby mountains where they executed them, CNN reported. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but in the past Balochistan separatists have killed laborers and passengers in the same area. Normally passenger buses from Balochistan are escorted by safety personnel but an attack on two oil tankers Monday night kept security forces at bay, Balochistan's The Express Tribune reported. Search operations in the area were continuing following reports the militants had taken 30 passengers off the buses.
