Minister of Public Service and Governance Abid Briki told TAP Friday he intend to submit his resignation without officially announcing it to Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.
However, he said that the current government action "is incompatible with the Carthage document".
"I have contacted the General Secretariat of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT ), the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister about the resignation and I have argued that my presence in the government cannot be of much use in the economic and social reforms process announced by Youssef Chahed since his appointment as Prime Minister, "he said.
Youssef Chahed's government gained the confidence of the House of the People's Representatives (HPR) on August 26, succeeding the Habib Essid government formed after the 2014 parliamentary elections.
