Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisation Affairs, today received in his office at the ministry Belgian Ambassador to UAE Christian Tang. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and exchanged views regarding the international organisations and cooperation, as well as Belgium's initiative to defend the rights of children, which was presented to the Human Rights Council in Geneva. Al Shamsi shed light on the child programmes sponsored by the UAE government , noting that it enacted the laws to protect and upgrade children through the application of the best international standards. He hailed the distinguished strategic partnership between the UAE and Belgium and the vital role they play in the field of international organisations, stressing to the Belgian official that he would receive all support and assistance from the MoFA to facilitate his mission in order to promote the UAE- Belgium relations to the best levels.
