
A strong Moroccan delegation led by tourism minister Lahcen Haddad will take part in the 35th "Borza Internazionale del Turismo", the largest tourism fair in Italy slated Feb. 12-14 in Milan, Italy.
The delegation, which is composed of members of the Moroccan Tourism Office (ONMT), professionals and media representatives, will take part in this event as part of the ministry's promotional action abroad, said a statement by the tourism ministry on Sunday.
This participation is aimed at consolidating the positioning of Morocco on the Italian market and exploring new ways of collaboration, given that the Italian market attracts an important tourist inflow for the Moroccan tourism sector with an increase of 9.5% in the number arrivals at the end of 2014, that is 229,532 visitors and 400,077 overnight stays.
The fair is attended by representations from all countries and is made up of 8 pavilions with different themes.
