Embassies of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Syria's capital of Damascus were attacked by pro-government protesters on Wednesday, Al-Jazeera TV reported. The embassies' buildings were pelted with eggs and stones, the pan-Arab television network reported. In response to reporters' questions, Moroccan Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri condemned "the violence against the Moroccan embassy in Syria" and against other Arab embassies. The Arab League (AL) ministerial meeting on the Syrian crisis is scheduled to open in the Moroccan capital of Rabat on Wednesday afternoon, on the sidelines of an Arab-Turkish cooperation forum.
