President Mohamed Morsi asserted during his recent visit to Sudan the importance of integration with Khartoum, said a presidential statement issued on Friday. Morsi met during his two-day visit to Sudan with his Sudanese counterpart Omar Bashir and Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Taha. The meeting with Taha tackled ways of boosting bilateral relation as Taha said that his country will follow up what has been agreed upon between Morsi and Bashir, said the presidential statement. Taha promised to remove any obstacles that impede bilateral investments, it added. The statement pointed out that the Egyptian president raised problems that are faced by Egyptians in Sudan. Morsi also met with a host of political parties leaders as he reiterated importance of popular communication between the two countries as a part of achieving the desired bilateral integration. The Sudanese side praised the Egyptian leading role to achieve peace between Sudan and South Sudan along with the Darfur crisis.
