Moscow resolutely denounces a series of deadly terror acts in Baghdad that killed dozens of civilians, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. “Such crimes cannot have any excuse,” the ministry quoted by Itar-tass said. “These acts that are timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the deployment of the coalition forces in Iraq are the work of extremist forces that stake on stirring up interconfessional and interethnic hatred and unfolding a spiral of violence on the Iraqi land,” the ministry said. “We confirm Russia’s principal course for support of efforts of the Iraqi government and people to ensure order in that country and to offer a decisive rebuff to terrorist elements,” the ministry said.
