The Moscow police have detained 12 Tajik nationals and seized 25 kilos of heroin from them, the press office of Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service reported on Monday.
"During a special operation, citizens of Tajikistan were detained and 25 kilograms of Afghan heroin were seized from them," the service said.
"According to anti-drug police’s data, the law offenders spread the drugs through drug hideouts in the district of Lianozovo," the service said.
The batch of heroin seized by the police is worth about 25 million rubles ($480,000) on the black market, the service said.
