The fire department said that 11 construction workers were injured when the dome of an under-construction mosque in Omariya Area collapsed on them on Wednesday. Four of the builders have been taken to hospital, while the others were treated on the spot, added a statement, quoting Director General of the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate Maj Gen Yusuf Al-Ansari. Some four fire stations took part in the rescue efforts, which began immediately after an emergency call was made on the incident. The collapse also led to material losses, added the official, who added that an investigation is currently underway to determine its causes. The efforts were conducted under the observation of both the Minister of Justice, and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Nayef Al-Ajmi and the Awqaf Ministry Undersecretary Adel Al-Falah.
