
Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam received a high-level Vietnamese delegation for talks on promoting religious cooperation between Dar Al Iftaa and Vietnam to spread the moderate teachings of Islam and counter extremism and terrorism.
Dar Al Iftaa is willing to provide all forms of support to the Muslim community in Vietnam and to train their imams, Allam said.
The Vietnamese delegation underlined the strength of Egyptian-Vietnamese ties, lauding the efforts exerted by Dar Al Iftaa in order to combat extremism and terrorism.
The number of Muslims in Vietnam is 80,000 and they represent 1% of the total population, the delegation noted.
