The observatory of Muslim communities of the general secretariat of Iftaa houses in the world has welcomed US President-elect Donald Trump's condemnation of the attack on the Muslim community and minorities in the US following the US presidential election.
The observatory stressed in a statement on Monday that Muslim Americans and several religious and sectarian minorities are "citizens who have all rights and have to do all duties.'
Attacking Muslims in America is an extremist assault which runs contrary to laws and the constitution in the US, it said.
Trump's denunciation of such attacks is very important and blocks road to ultra-rightist allegations that Trump backs the attacks, the observatory said.
The observatory urged Muslims in the US to deal positively with Trump's statements and cooperate with religious minorities to face any attacks by extremists.
