Head of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdel Jalil expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the UAE and its leadership during his meeting with the UAE ambassador to Tripoli. Jalil praised the support that UAE delivered to Libya during the revolution. He also commended the visit of the UAE foreign minister as he was the first Arab official to visit Libya after the February 17 revolution. He also exalted the efforts exerted by the ambassador in supporting bilateral ties between the two countries while wishing him success in his future mission. He declared that Libya desired to benefit from the UAE as it is considered it an example to follow in building the modern state. For his part, Ambassador Sultan Rashid Al Kaytoub conveyed the greetings of the UAE President and Prime Minister to Jalil, confirming his countries support to Libya and its people.
