Nahyan receives German official

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, of the U.A.E. today received Dr. Johannes Beermann, State Minister of the State of Saxony and Chief of the State Chancellery, who is on a current visit to the U.A.E. At the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan and Beermann discussed aspects of cooperation between the U.A.E. and the German state of Saxony. Sheikh Nahyan, in his remarks at the meeting, commended the strong relations between the U.A.E. and Germany, noting the European country's role in promoting cultural and educations with the U.A.E. For his part, Beermann invited Sheikh Nahyan to visit Dresden, the capital of Saxony to get a first-hand experience of the city's landmarks, museums and cultural movement. Beermann is an old friend of the U.A.E who has worked for thirty years on promoting higher education relations between the U.A.E. and Germany.
