Press secretary of a Moscow mayoral candidate of RPR-PARNAS Alexei Navalny, Anna Veduta, denies a two-stage system of collecting fund for the election campaign. “The money to Navalny’s election account is being transferred by individuals - Russian citizens. The fact they have Yandex online purses and somebody is transferring something to there has nothing to do with the legislation on elections. Who cares who and why transfers money there to them,” she told Itar-Tass on Saturday commenting on the demands from United Russia and LDPR to correct how the candidate was collecting money for his election campaign. “The collecting of money complies with the law,” Veduta said. The press secretary said the report the blogger had promised to publish may be available later in the afternoon. “Currently, Alexei Navalny is meeting the electorate,” she explained. Earlier, Deputy Head of United Russia’s Central Executive Committee Konstantin Mazurevsky said the financing scheme, which a Moscow mayoral candidate Alexei Navalny has been using for his election campaign, violated directly the election legislation.
