Two Chinese Army officers presented a vivid China in a presentation at Nepal's Army Command and Staff College in Kathmandu on Thursday. Lieutenant Colonel Li Yunfeng and Lieutenant Colonel Pan Yong gave a brief description of the Chinese history, people, festival, economy and the country's diplomatic relations with Nepal to 100 audiences, including Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai. Li and Pan are among the 43 students in the college that includes 13 students from eight different countries. The Army Command and Staff College is one of the most important military institutions in Nepal. According to its website, the international student's day is one of the most important events of the college, wherein students are given emphasis to showcase their cuisine and culture. The college organizes such event each year to create lively social interactions amongst faculty members. "Welcome to Beijing", a Chinese song jointly performed by students of Confucius Institute at the Kathmandu University and the teachers of the institute, was another highlight of the program. The audience cheered along as the Nepali students echoed the auditorium with their well polished Chinese ascent. Major Sudhir KC, one of the Nepali Army officers attending the course, said that he had a lot of affection towards China. "I have been to China," said KC. "I like everything about this country. We have a lot to learn from them in terms of development. " KC's statement was echoed by his Sri Lankan classmate Major Kanpk Kodituwakku, who praised the two Chinese officers for their humble nature. "Their presentation was excellent. Of all the participants in the course, the two Chinese are the most helpful," said Kodituwakku, adding that it was this trait that the other countries had to learn from the Chinese people.
