Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Tuesday that Iran's threats to demolish Israel should be taken "seriously" and that Israel should gear up for it. In statements broadcasted on Israel's official radio station (Voice of Israel), Netanyahu said that Israel would have been happy if the international sanctions imposed on Iran were fruitful. The Israeli Premier noted that he had agreed with US President Barack Obama that Iran should not be allowed for Nuclear weapons and that Israel should be capable of defending itself any time against any threat. Talking about the situation in Sinai, Netanyahu claimed that Sinai is currently witnessing a state of chaos as some Palestinian groups are using it to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip as well as launching attacks on Israel with support from Iran. He hoped the next president of Egypt would respect the Egypt-Israel peace treaty being of a mutual benefit for both sides.
