Netanyahu: Israel team off to US to discuss Iran's nuclear deal

An Israeli team will fly to the US next week for talks with American officials over the shape of the final agreement that the P5+1 group plans to sign with Iran over the latter's nuclear program, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday. Netanyahu, during a meeting with top Likud party officials, said he agreed with US President Barack Obama to send this team during their phone call yesterday, adding the team would be headed by the national security advisor. "Discussion will focus on how to put a permanent agreement that the big six countries want to have with Iran over its nuclear activity," said Netanyahu, quoted by the Israeli radio. The agreement that was hammered out in Geneva yesterday was a bad deal "and Israeli diplomacy must continue to change it," he said. "The final agreement with Iran should ... include its approval to dismantle its nuclear military capabilities," said Netanyahu.
