The new South Korean ambassador in Cairo hailed the central role Egypt plays in the Middle East and North Africa region and the country's active role in Security Council.
He said he will act to implement decisions of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and the South Korean president during Sisi's first visit to South Korea last March.
The newly-appointed diplomat submitted his credentials to president Sisi two days ago.
He said South Korea is keen on boosting relations with Egypt in different fields.
Egypt is a main economic partner to South Korea in Middle East and North Africa region, he added.
The new ambassador said more than 35 major South Korean companies are doing business in Egypt, expecting that these companies to honor commitments on investments in Egypt in the coming years.
