New Zealand-operated plane crash lands in Solomons

A plane operated by a New Zealand company has crash landed in the Solomon Islands, media reported Sunday. The Boeing 737 freight aircraft, operated by Airwork Flight Operations, landed in Honiara on Sunday afternoon, the NZ Newswire reported. However, shortly after touching down, the right-hand landing gear collapsed, causing the plane to slide to a halt on the runway, Airwork said in a statement. None of the three crew on board were injured. Authorities have been informed and investigations are under way.
