Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC) condemned Thursday's terrorist attack that left 148 people dead at the Garissa University College in northeast Kenya, describing it as dastardly and unjustifiable.
The party, in a statement reaching Xinhua on Saturday, described the Somali terror group Al-Shabaab, which claimed responsibility for the killings, as a bunch of cowardly extremists, who had no place in decent society.
"Nothing can justify such a deadly and senseless attack on innocent and defenseless citizens, and those who planned and executed the heinous killings in Kenya stand condemned globally," the APC said.
According to the statement, terrorism has become a global scourge and any terrorist attack anywhere is a heinous act, therefore, terrorists will not find any hiding place.
The APC expressed the party's deepest condolences with the government and people of Kenya and prayed that the families of the victims would find succor and wished the injured speedy recovery.
