No casualties reported in Amsterdam-Paris train attack

The UK Foreign Office said on Saturday no injuries were reported in an attack launched by a gunman armed with a Kalashnikov on a train between Amsterdam and Paris.

Speaking to MENA, a spokesman for the foreign office said no casualties were reported in the attack in which a Briton helped a group including two off-duty US military personnel bring the gunman under control during Friday's incident on a train carrying 554 passengers.

Meantime, Prime Minister David Cameron praised the "extraordinary courage" of the passengers who overpowered the gunman.

A spokesman for Cameron's Downing Street office said the prime minister praised the extraordinary courage of the passengers who intervened and helped disarm the gunman, including British counselor Chris Norman.
