No plans to hand over Syrian embassy in Cairo to SNC

Egypt has no plans to hands over the Syrian embassy in Cairo to the Syrian National Coalition, said a well-placed source at the foreign ministry. "The idea of handing over the Syrian embassy headquarters in Cairo has never been brought up into discussion," the source said, noting that the opposition coalition already has headquarters in Cairo. He added that there are ongoing contacts to regulate the consular relations between Egypt and Syria in order to maintain the interests of expats in both countries.
