Obama accepts party's nomination for president

US President Barack Obama formally accepted late Thursday his Democratic Party's nomination to seek another term as president, dpa reported. 'Madam Chairwoman, delegates, I accept your nomination for President of the United States,' Obama told the party's convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thousands of cheering delegates waving American flags welcomed Obama to the stage as he seeks to ignite enthusiasm within his party and win over key undecided voters watching on television.
