Obama administration offers to destroy American weapons at sea

The Obama administration is offering to destroy some of Syria's deadliest chemical weapons in international waters aboard a nearly 700-foot, U.S. government-owned ship, according to U.S. officials. The plan, which has not been approved yet, will include destroying all the chemical weapons aboard the MV Cape Ray ship in the Mediterranean Sea, the officials were quoted by Sky News as saying. That would help in avoiding diplomatic,environmental and security problems that could entail disposing of the materials on any country's soil.
