Obama grass-roots campaign developers sign on with pro-Clinton PAC

Two developers of President Obama's grass-roots campaign organization announced they have joined the pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC. Jeremy Bird and Mitch Stewart said their consulting agency will work with the Ready for Hillary PAC, the super PAC devoted to drafting the former secretary of state to run for president in 2016, the Los Angeles Times reported. Bird and Stewart will handle daily operations for Ready for Hillary's field programs, volunteer recruitment and training, and constituency engagement. The Obama for America architects have extensive contacts with community leaders as well as the chops in building field operations, critical elements that helped Obama win in 2008 and 2012, as well as push Clinton out of the 2008 fight for the Democratic nomination, the Times said. Clinton, so far, has maintained she isn't interested in making another run at the presidency. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., one of Obama's first supporters in his 2008 primary fight against Clinton, said in June she supports the drive to recruit Clinton. Other prominent Democrats have signed on as well.
