US President Barack Obama said on Thursday that the Gulf summit is aimed at pursuing communication with Gulf states.
Speaking at a press conference at the end of the Gulf summit, Obama said that the US is working on restoring stability in Iraq in areas like Anbar.
He stressed that his country is helping the Iraqi government to achieve that goal.
On Syria, Obama said the regime continues its attacks on several areas, adding that he called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to exercise pressure on the regime to cease fire.
He also urged the moderate opposition to be committed to a ceasefire.
The US president asserted that the summit tackled the available options to stop the attacks in Syria.
Reaching a political solution inside Syria means that all parties to the conflict should take part, he added.
