Obama presses debt 'Supercommittee' to reach deal

President Barack Obama on Friday urged the co-chairs of a congressional "Supercommittee" tasked with coming up with a plan to rein in galloping US debt to reach a deal, his spokesman said. From his official Air Force One airplane, Obama called Democratic Senator Patty Murray and Republican Representative Jeb Hensarling and "urged both leaders to get this done," press secretary Jay Carney told reporters.
