US President Barack Obama reaffirmed his country's commitment to Israel's security and offering help after Wednesday's bombing that targeted a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. US President Barack Obama called Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday night to express his condolences for the death of the Israelis in the attack, according to a White House Statement. In the statement released on Wednesday, Obama condemned the attack, saying "These attacks against innocent civilians, including children, are completely outrageous. The United States will stand with our allies, and provide whatever assistance is necessary to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators of this attack." The US President described the attack as "barbaric terrorist attack" and expressed his sympathy with the families of those killed and injured. For her part, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton strongly condemned the attack against Israeli tourists in Bulgaria, saying that the United States condemns in the strongest terms this "heinous terrorist attack" against innocent civilians. The United States is ready to offer any necessary assistance, and we will work with Bulgaria, Israel and other countries so that the perpetrators can be apprehended and brought to justice, she added.
