
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi received on Saturday a phone call from US President Barack Obama.
During the conversation, Obama reiterated that the US will continue to support Iraq to overcome the financial crisis as a result of lower oil prices.
According to a statement issued by Al Abadi's office, the two sides discussed relations between the United States and Iraq and the security, political and economic challenges as well as the war on terrorism and the victories achieved on ISIS organization.
The statement indicated that the US President expressed his country's full support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, and confirmed the readiness of the United States to provide experience to Iraq to cope with the security challenge.
For his part, Al Abadi stressed that the liberation operations of lands and reforms in all sectors, especially in economy, are ongoing.
