Director-General of the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs Jassem Al-Tammar on Wednesday affirmed necessity of bolstering "partnership" among the associations involved in the handicapped affairs. Al-Tammar, in a statement, stressed on necessity of coordination with these societies, due to their key role in furnishing cases of special needs with extraordinary aid. He affirmed the government commitments towards this segment of the society, in line with the law that stipulates that citizens of special needs are "an inseparable part of the Kuwaiti society." The authority, last Monday, held a meeting with representatives of these associations and clubs, discussing proposed amendments on the Law No. 9 (2010). They made many important remarks which will be examined by the authority, he said, adding that the authority would forward the suggested modifications to the government for endorsement.
