Official: Hamas has never attacked Israeli targets abroad

Hamas has never carried out military operations against Israel outside of Palestine, a senior Hamas leader said Tuesday."Despite attempts to assassinate our leaders outside our territories, we have never retaliated outside of our territories, because that was the policy we set for ourselves," Mousa Abu Marzouk said.Rumors that Hamas militants were involved in an attack which killed 16 Egyptian border guards last year are unfounded, he added.The senior Hamas leader criticized peace negotiations with Israel, saying that 17 years of talks have "brought nothing to the Palestinians."Abu Marzouk made the comments during a festival in Cairo organized by the student's union to show solidarity with Palestinian prisoners.
