
The ministers of agriculture in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold Tuesday in the Kazakh capital, Astana, three-day meetings and consultations aiming at the development of short and long-term programs to achieve food security in the Islamic world through setting up local and regional food reserves.
The OIC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Ambassador Hameed Opeloyeru said that the agriculture ministers will discuss the latest developments and programs regarding the achievement of food security projects, regional food reserves at local and regional levels, the problems and challenges facing the agricultural development and food security and a number of other important topics in the OIC member states.
