Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has condemned the terrorist explosion which targeted the southern suburb of Beirut today. He expressed in a statement the OICs position rejecting these acts against innocent civilians and the destruction of public and private properties wherever they are. The Secretary General stated that this terrorist act constitutes a source of concern for the Muslim world, calling upon all Lebanese parties to form a national unity government as soon as possible and for political parties to return to the national negotiation table as the only solution to all issues. Ihsanoglu reaffirmed the OICs principled position condemning strongly all terrorist acts and extremism in all its forms and manifestations and rejecting categorically all justifications of terrorism.
