OIC conference in May to discuss anti-Islamophobia strategy

A next conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Kuwait will mull a strategy to combat Islamophobia, said a spokesman for the pan-Islamic body on Saturday.
The gathering, slated for May 27 and 28 in Kuwait, is urgently needed due to the current rise in anti-Islam trends across the world, Tareq Bakheit told the Islamic News Agency.
He cited the organization's efforts with the UN and other international agencies to cement the concepts of co-existence in the world.
Anti-Islam feelings have been escalating since recent terrorist attacks in Europe that were condemned by the OIC, said the spokesman.
